Noodlebib Directions:

 

1.  Go to:  www.vermilionschools.org/vhs/library. Click on the  Research

     Paper Sites link and select Noodletools.

2.  Look for Subscription Tools and select Noodlebib . 

3.  You must first register before you can use Noodlebib.  Follow the

     directions on the screen. 

4.  Then select Noodlebib and choose Start New

     List.  Choose the type of citation ( MLA or APA). Next, type a name for

    your folder in Step 2.  Then select “Start Adding Citations.”

5.  Under “Select a Citation Type”, click on down arrow and choose the type

     of material that matches your source material.

6.  Next, you will fill in information regarding your source material.  Your

 choices will build the template you will use to create your citation.

 Follow the directions on the screen when filling in the template.

     You have the option to check for errors before choosing

     Generate Citation.

 

***Helpful hint:  Open up two Internet windows, one for Noodlebib and

     one for your Internet web page, or EBSCO, or Gale Power Search.

     This will make it easier when filling in information in the template.  You

     can copy and paste from the source window to the Noodlebib window.

 

7.  Once you generate the citation, you will see it printed out correctly.

     It is automatically saved in your folder.  You can always come back and

     add more citations later.

8. To print your Works Cited Page, choose Open in Word.  IMPORTANT:

    Save your document as an rtf file.  You will save it to the desktop.

    Then open the saved file on the desktop and print your Works Cited page.

    WARNING:  If you print from the screen instead of following the above

    printing directions, your copy will include everything you see on the

    screen!
